Cross Domain AJAX (XMLHttpRequest)

Well it been a while as i have been busy rebuilding megatorrentz.com.

But in my travels of the internet i found out about a the range of Cross Domain AJAX calls. are you aware that a web browser will make these calls all you have todo is send some custom headers,

Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *

This will tell the browser making the connection that any web site is allowed to connect this is all you need to use GET to access a page but if your needing to send data though POST you need a little more


Access-Control-Allow-Methods: GET,POST
Access-Control-Allow-Headers: Content-Type

These will tell the browser making the connection that it supports GET and POST but then when posting data you need to set the Content-Type all though the browser will do this for you for security it is still sent so you need to tell the server your support it.

Once you send these from your Server you can make requests from pages on another server

Revisions, allows you to work on a file and allways keep a backup of your old files so if some one makes a mistake they can restore to older work but with the revision system comes the ability to work on a file and have a different version live if you choose to use the hosted version of the system,

CSS, HTML and JS Syntax, with our live text editors you can spot syntax errors in your code.

Combination files, these provide the control of a lifetime to the end user splitting a HTML page into CSS, JS and HTML so 3 developers can work on different parts of the same file so your Style expert can work on the  CSS while your designers built the HTML and your coders build the JS to make your sites look there best.

Testing URL, our system will give you the most up to date version of your code running on a test domain

Live URL, lets your flag revisions of a file as the live version so you can work on your site without updating the how ever this cost a little more as we would be hosting your web site.

User Permissions, allow your staff only the control you want them to have within your projects,

Client Access, lets your clients have a branded login to let your clients access the system an talk to you about files and how they would like them to look. clients will only be allowed to talk about a file and see a preview of the file they will not be allowed to see any of the code you or your staff have built

Talk, now i have talked about this in Client Access a little now talks allows you, your staff , clients to talk about a file so you can note changes on that have been done or need to be done to a file

Time Tracking, see just how much time your staff are spending on a project so you can bill your clients appropriately, the time tracking will log the amount of time your staff spend on a project but what if they go on lunch and leave it in a project that not a problem our system will test every 5 mins if we detect there away we will lock there screen to prevent unwanted tampering with a file and ask them to login once they have there work will be exactly how they left it.

Locking allow members of your staff to lock there work station and when they comeback leave it exactly as it was before they locked it much like locking your windows PC now.
